The purchase of Alaska is an event were the U.S bought "Russian America" as their "territory". The issue of this political cartoon is that Alaska was not useful.The cartoonist's message on this issue is that Alaska was a big hunk of ice. Some other people's opinion's for Alaska is that it is very useful and has many resources, which is true later on.Some techniques this cartoonist used was labeling on Alaska and symbolism in the bag of money the guy in the background carries. The cartoonist made this pretty persuasive that this was a bad thing and not good,even though this about American -Imperialism it dos not make me fell any hate for Imperialism in general.
